Develop a small, non-invasive unit similar to the external electrodes that monitor the EKG and are capable of analyzing the EKG signal and generating a warning during an arrhythmic event. Ideally, a complete solution should be proposed – perhaps including a warning or notification via SMS to the physician and members of the person's family. The components of the system will likely involve some hardware as well as some algorithm development to continuously analyze the incoming signal from the recording electrode. The person who would use this system is someone who has been identified to be at significant risk of heart-failure.
