The entire machine must fit into a box of dimensions 25 cm x 25 cm x 25 cm (L x B x H) at all times. No part of the machine can lie outside the box at any point of time. Screws meant for mounting your machine on table will not be considered while dimension check.
The entire machine cannot be moved during the run. It must be operated while kept on the table.
Energy input (if any) has to come from a mechanism driven by human muscular power only. Only one participant per team will be allowed to provide the energy input. The participant providing energy cannot be substituted during the competition. Machine can not have any other energy source in any form (like batteries, chemicals etc).
No type of distillation is allowed for this purpose.
No dissolved or undissolved substance should be added to the filtrate by machine. This clause will be subjectively decided by the judges.
Use of readymade filtering mechanisms like zero-B and filter candles isn't allowed. But readymade gear assemblies and pumps can be used. This clause will be subjectively judged.
Machine will be thoroughly checked by the organizers of the event. Any team found violating any of the above clauses will be disqualified.
