"Men love to wonder, and that is the seed of science."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
In 2009, Techfest defied all conventions by bringing you the best of science and technology over the three euphoric days which left people wanting for more. With over 50,000 sq feet of exhibitions, lectures from across the globe and competitions ranging from IC engine car racing to Popsicle bridge building,Techfest 2009 had something for everyone. The thought competitions saw participants from Dubai, Singapore, Srilanka, Nepal and Bhutan apart from budding engineers from all corners of our country fighting for a prize money of over 18 lakhs and the coveted Techfest trophy. The exhibitions spread over 4 centers, demonstrated the best in science and technology, with exhibits from over 10 countries and also from all corners of India. Popular lectures delivered by experts such as Dr. Spencer Wells, Prof. Chris Philips and many more introduced us to the various realms of science enlightening us on topics such as invisibility, the human genology, and many more. The extravaganza didin't stop there but continued through the nights with Technoholix giving the best mix of entertainment seen never before, on each night. We, Team Techfest, would like thank the participants and the visitors, whose unbeatable enthusiasm kept the festive spirit ticking all throughout. We also extend our gratitude towards IIT Bombay and the other college authorities, and also our sponsors, who have supported us throughout our journey and made this festival possible.
Looking forward to Techfest 2010, we promise that the thirteenth edition of Techfest would carry the legacy handed over to it through all the previous years and bring you a bigger and a better Techfest than ever before. See you again next year at Techfest 2010!
Dream On!!!
