The demands of the industry are entirely different from what one learns in the university. TechConnect is an endeavor where we aspire to bridge the industry-academia divide. Exchange of knowledge between the industry and university is a necessity to achieve sustainable progress.

Techfest in collaboration with IRCC, IIT Bombay is organizing TechConnect for the fourth year running. It acts as a platform to showcase the diversity of R&D activities in IITB and highlight fundamental research in IITB. It also aims to motivate young minds to take up a career in research, and to serve as a platform for exchange of knowledge.

TechConnect aims to highlight the diverse contributions of IITB in the fields of healthcare, energy, defence, wireless communication, information technology and material sciences. Power LED devices, Bio-diesel plant model and other exhibits were a part of TechConnect 2011. The target audience is the general public, school children,people from the industry, as well as academic institutions. Catchy simulations, working prototypes, design models will be used to excite the audience and capture their imagination. Lab visits will be organized where demonstrations will be made by the students working in the lab.
