Techfest 2010 and Krittika, the Astronomy club of IITB, brings to you "Dark Matters!" , the Astronomy Workshop. Anyone who has looked up into the night sky ,awed at its sheer beauty and got curious to know more, here's an opportunity to understand the observational astronomy and more.

Stargazing and Amateur Astronomy

  1. AstroQuiz Finals
  2. Basics of Observational Amateur Astronomy: Introductory session to get acquainted with the basic techniques of star gazing & observation. Getting to know the constellations, famous stars
  3. Telescopic observation with 5 inch Newtonian reflectors. Moon, Galaxies, star clusters et cetera.
  4. Talk on Cosmology and Astrophysics
  5. Short talks on interesting topics

A quiz on general Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Elims:

  1. Type: Written elimination round. Objective type.
  2. Participation: Teams of two. Anyone with a valid College ID is welcome to participate.
  3. Further information would be available at the Assistance Desk.
  4. Four teams will be selected for the Grand Finale.
